This time of year is usually a warm and happy time with friends and family; how do you usually spend Thanksgiving every year?
Thanksgiving is all about family to me. This year we are expecting only a “skeleton crew”, as a few of our family have recently moved back up north…brrr! Needless to say, they will have snow for the holiday, but we can go to the beach if we want to! But I’m happy that my dad will be with us this year.
Can you remember one of your most happiest Thanksgivings?
Thanksgiving was such a special time for our family when I was growing up. We would have family over, and my mother would get up really early and spend all day in the kitchen cooking. That woman could cook a 25 pound turkey, make homemade (from scratch) mashed potatoes and gravy, homemade pies, fudge, cookies, and still have time to make the Chex party mix…to me, Thanksgiving just isn’t Thanksgiving without the Chex party mix! I miss those days with my entire family since my mother is now gone, and my 7 siblings are spread throughout the US. But mostly I miss fighting with my siblings over who would get the wishbone (my wishes always involved a big Christmas gift)!
What's your favorite thing about Thanksgiving?
I would have to say my favorite thing about Thanksgiving is eating with reckless abandon!
Some families have traditions they do every year, does your family have a tradition that goes along with Thanksgiving?
The Thanksgiving Parade is a must, but the traditions have evolved over the years. In recent years since my mother’s passing, I make it a point to make her Norwegian Christmas cookies at Thanksgiving AND Christmas. But one tradition will ALWAYS remain in my house…listening to Christmas music. I always start playing the Christmas tunes while I’m making the Thanksgiving dinner…just wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without it.
Food is always one of the biggest things about this time of year; do you have a favorite desert or even a recipe you'd like to share with us?
As much as I’d like to, I can’t share the cookie recipe with you because that has to stay with family, but I will be more than happy to share my roasted chestnut stuffing recipe with you…you will love it.

There are so many ways to cook a turkey; does your family have a special way of getting the big bird ready, perhaps a special ingredient or stuffing?
See previous answer…but make note that I have substituted pecans for the roasted chestnuts, and even added dried cranberries to this recipe as an experiment, and it was equally delicious.
After eating all that food and settling in for the evening what do you do with the time that's left before bed?
I immediately start decorating for Christmas!
Is there any other information you'd care to share with us about your books that are out now or any upcoming novels?
I do have the first book of a new historical romance series finished. So far, I have only 4 books planned for this series, but if subsequent books are as popular as the first one, I may write more. For now, the first four books in the WANTED: Dead or Alive series are:
